Chestnut colt foaled 7/2/2008
 |
Up until now Alto has been our little secret weapon. Only now do we dare to say that he really is as good as we had always thought.
Beautifully conformed and with his golden chestnut blonde colouring, very glamourous. Alto moves better than anything else we have ever bred. John and I both regard him as the pinnacle of Jaybee Farm Breeding.
By the German State Stud Stallion Alabaster by Akzent 11. He a Bundeschampion and successful Grand Prix Stallion. The Germans have always spoken of Akzent 11 progeny as being very rideable. Jaybee Farm’s other very successful stallion Jaybee Alabaster, who is on the Australian Elite Dressage Squad and listed for World Equestrian Games 2010 in Kentucky, is also by Alabaster (Ger). Alto is a three quarter brother to Jaybee Alabaster, the other quarter being Don Schufro.
Alto’s mother, the very beautiful chocolate chestnut mare Jaybee Desiree is a result of breeding our imported mare Gloria (imp) to the World Breeding Federation Champion Dressage Stallion Don Schufro by the immortal Donnerhall.
Desiree was competed successfully up to Elementary Dressage. She was the Best Hanoverian of the 2006 tour with Hans Heinrich Bruning as classifier. She is Premium mare for 2006 and Elite mare. Alto is her first foal, and we also have a yearling daughter, Jaybee Romantic by Rotspon (Ger).
We are just so excited about this colt.
The icing on the cake with him is that he is just so sweet in character. No bite, kick, and have never seen his ears back. We just love him.
We will probably use him very sparingly next spring and eagerly await his first foals. He will be broken in and prepared for the premier young horse shows in 2012.
