Probably our most successful
showhorse ever. Louella won her class at Sydney Royal for 6 years in
a row. She won the filly 3 & under twice – once as a 2yo, and
the mare 4 and over 4 times. She was best warmblood exhibit on two
occasions, and Reserve to the stallions on 4 occasions.
I rode Louella for 5 years and she competed to Advanced level and is
graded Medium. Probably her best win was at Sydney Royal for the
Novice Futurity Dressage event. There were 60 entries. She
never gave me any grief, although I was riding the biggest horse competing
at the time.
Louella came into the breeding herd late in life and her
most successful progeny so far is Jaybee Leilani (Lyndal Binch). Leilani has been very successful up to elementary so far, and has placed
very well in young dressage horse classes.
